Twitter Bootstrap 3 container

Monday, July 7, 2014

I've started learning Bootstrap and I'm a bit confused about the container. Do we create a container and then we embed all our navbars, body etc into it, or do we create a container for each part?

E.g. is this a good practice?

For navbar:

<div class="container">
<nav class="navbar navbar-inverse navbar-static-top">

@Html.ActionLink("MyCompany", "Index", "Home", new { @class = "navbar-brand" })
<section id="login">
@Html.Partial("_LoginPartial")
</section>
</nav>
</div>

For main body:

<div class="container">
@RenderSection("featured", required: false)
<div class="row-fluid">
@RenderBody()
</div>
</div>

And finally for footer:

<div class="container">
<div class="navbar-collapse collapse" id="footer-body">
...
</div>
